CIO Review recently named HAIvia as one of the 20 Most Promising Data Analytics Solutions Providers for 2018. In its article titled, "HAIvia: Pioneering in HAI Prevention," Dave Wilson addressed the growing need for enriched analytics in healthcare. Focusing on infection prevention which correlates to improved patient safety and increased reimbursements, HAIvia provides a visual analysis platform. The dashboard product lets hospital executives visualize and manage infection prevention data that was either not available to them previously or scattered in data silos throughout the organization. HAIvia lets users visualize this disparate data to provide actionable knowledge that can help them save patient lives and increase government and insurance reimbursements.
A study by Columbia University highlights the critical need for improved infection prevention measures by hospital environmental services teams. "Patients are nearly six times as likely to come down with staph, strep or another dangerous infection if the patient who used the bed before them had it," according to an article in the Tyler Morning Telegraph which summarizes the study.
